Hazlitt’s idea that the “poisonous mineral” of Hate burns into every human is like saying every human being has a natural substance which is evil. He uses a metaphor, aggression and personification. Hazlitt says how every human has something that everyone hates inside. When he says “Hate burns into every human” is like if people do not hate on things then it would be like stale. I think I agree on Hazlitt’s idea because when he says “poisonous mineral” it is like something inside of us which is good and bad. In a way of saying for example: when a baby is born it develops emotions and feelings which develops into something else more.
“As for my old opinions, I am heartily sick of them. I have reason, for they have deceived me sadly.”
This tells me that his old opinions was bad but his opinions make (someone) to believe that it is not true. His opinions makes us and the audience believe his opinions are convincingly made. Hazlitt tells how he hates spiders and how he describes how spiders are like monsters, so does most people hate spiders. We should think before what we do before the actions of destroying and crushing spiders. He makes a fact how “A child, a women,a clown, or a moralist a century ago , would have crushed the little reptile.” Hazlitt basically backs up his opinion to make people think its true. This shows how Hazlitt’s idea seems like it is true but its what he believes. Spiders, spiders, everywhere, but not to be seen anywhere.
“Hate burns into every human”
What is hate. Hate is like an intense dislike and every human has a particular thing that we all hate for example: I hate tomatoes because it tastes horrible. We all have our likes and dislikes like Hazlitt’s, but lets say if every human did not dislike anything. We would just agree with anything. Hate is something which grows in every human and can not be ignored. We have a primal desire for a striking order, even within our close relationships, “Wanting to have power over people is part of human nature”
What is the purpose of Hate?
Hate is important in life because hate is one of a variety of characteristics that helped us to succeed to generate support. If hate did not exist then people would be like “Good, beautiful, nice,I like your dress.” Without hate things would not be normal. Hatred is very destructive of relationships, and makes talking and understanding each other much much harder. Because of its intensity. Hazlitt’s idea is convincingly made to be agreeable but not true. Even though, Hazlitt is describing how hate is formed. Hate is like a fiery man. From the past I have experienced how something so little makes me really angry and how I really hated it. There is always something that we dislike and it will always be the same. Hazlitt’s idea shows how a mineral burns in us and it will grow, and grow, and grow until eventually it will make us hate at a lot of things. This can slightly effect with the audience because they would agree or disagree of the idea of hate.
When Hazlitt uses “poisonous” it tells how it is evil or an unpleasant substance but he now believes of how this mineral is poisoned. In every human it is not only just a “poisonous mineral” but a good mineral as well. In every human good and bad minerals will grow with mixed emotions. In every human we learn how we express our feelings and emotions.
Hate is a strong word because its stronger than dislike and hate comes from hell. When God tells us”Not to Hate”which I can disagree because its hard to not hate on things and you can strongly dislike someone. They say “Actions speaks louder than words” other than, the actions of speaking certain words can sill hurt someone’s emotions. When you say “hate” to someone, they don’t realize how they could potentially hurt somebody by saying so. It’s the selfishness that many people have come to adapt themselves to – they don’t think of others. No one ever wants to be heard that they’re hated, and a lot of times, people say they “hate” someone just because they did one thing wrong. People need to think before they speak – that’s an action we should all take. Hate is a word that must be very carefully used. Don’t use it unless you really hate something, and even then, you must consider!
How Hazlitt’s idea that the “poisonous mineral” of Hate burns into every human is convincingly made for the reader and the audience. He uses “poisonous mineral” to describe how hate burn into ever human and how his idea of hate is convincingly. Imagine how a poison burns into into every human and the effect. As I said before, Hate is a word that must be very carefully used. Do not use it unless you really hate something, and even then, you must consider! If you used the word “Hate” in a place for example: “I hate this food, it is disgusting” you are using two strong words which can upset or make the person angry. We all hate on things because of things happened in the past or present which you still hate the same thing or something new that you hate. There would be a lot of anger, frustration and anxiety on what you hate. It is so difficult for people to be positive and supportive toward one another that more people are suffering from hurt feelings and a strong sense of not fitting in, not belonging, or not being good enough for their own family members. I think that Hate can be good because it makes us dislike sandlike different things which makes us unique.
